From the day my son was born, I knew I wanted to raise him to do better. Our family comes from a small town where I work as a farmer. I thought that I would give my son a life that is bigger than mine, but Trishanjit’s life has taken a turn that shocked my wife and me.

“Thalassemia Major,” said the doctors at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. My whole world came crashing down when I heard those words. How am I going to save my son? How do I give my child the life he deserves? How can he heal?  I had so many questions that kept running through my mind.

My 7-year-old son Trishanjit was diagnosed with thalassemia major when he was just 6 months old. The severity of his condition has made him experience severe weakness.

Along with this, he suffers from bone deformities, severe fatigue, pale skin, jaundice, and an enlarged spleen.

Doctors have recommended an urgent bone marrow transplant within the next 1 to 2 months and continuous medical treatment to improve his chances of recovery. My son has not been able to attend school due to his medical condition. A normal life seems to feel so out of reach for us.

We are trying our best to manage the medical expenses through limited savings, local support and borrowed funds as well. But my son needs lakhs more to get back to a life that is healthy. Help Trishanjit get a chance to attend school like the other kids his age do.

The treatment costs us lakhs of rupees and my little one cannot fight alone. I am coming to you with the hope that you hear my son’s story and save his precious life.
