Every mother dreams of hearing her baby laugh, watching him grow stronger each day, and holding him close knowing he is safe. I had those same dreams for my six month old son, Pratik. But today, instead of hearing his laughter, I hear the beeping of machines in the hospital as I pray for his life.

Just a few weeks ago, Pratik developed a fever and started vomiting repeatedly. At first, we thought it was a common illness, something that medicines would fix. But his condition worsened so quickly that we rushed him to the hospital, where doctors gave us news no parent is ever prepared for. Our baby was suffering from subacute bowel obstruction along with convulsions, a serious condition that needed immediate treatment.

Since then, Pratik has already undergone two stomach surgeries, one on 9 March and another on 18 March 2026. We watched our tiny baby endure more pain in a few days than most people do in a lifetime. His little body, so small and fragile, has been fighting every moment to survive. Right now, Pratik is in the PICU where he has been admitted for the past four days under constant medical supervision. Doctors have told us he will need to remain in intensive care for at least ten more days, and if his condition does not improve, another surgery may be required.

My husband works as a delivery agent and earns only Rs 15,000 a month. He leaves home every day trying his best to provide for our family, but no amount of hard work could have prepared us for hospital bills this overwhelming. We also have an older son who is just six years old and studying in school. Managing our household was already difficult before this tragedy. Now every passing day in the hospital is pushing us further into helplessness.

As a mother, the most painful thing is watching your child suffer and knowing that his survival depends on treatment you cannot afford alone.
My son is only six months old. He has barely begun his life. He deserves the chance to grow up, to take his first steps, to call me “Maa,” and to live the childhood every child deserves. Please help us save Pratik. Your support can give my baby the treatment he urgently needs and the future he is fighting for.

Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted.
