At two, most toddlers are learning to run, not to survive.
Alisha was one of them, until her body began to swell.
It started with something no toddler should ever have to endure — she couldn't urinate properly, and her little stomach kept swelling, as if it were carrying a weight too heavy for her to hold. Her parents rushed her to the hospital, hoping for a simple answer.

Instead, they were told their daughter had a malignant tumor growing in her right kidney.
Cancer, in a child not even three years old.
That was three months ago. Since then, Alisha has been through six rounds of chemotherapy. She has undergone surgery to remove the tumor. She has needed two blood transfusions just to keep going. Through all of it, she has stayed in her mother Saba's arms, too young to understand why the hospital has become her second home.

But Alisha's fight isn't over. Doctors say she still needs four to five more chemotherapy sessions and radiation therapy. Now, they've recommended something more — an Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant, using Alisha's own stem cells, paired with high-dose chemotherapy. It is her best chance at a real recovery.
At home, Alisha has a younger brother who misses his playmate. Her father works as an assistant at a dental clinic, earning ₹20,000 a month — barely enough to run a household, let alone fund a treatment costing ₹15 lakh. Her mother spends her days at the hospital, watching her daughter endure what most adults never will.

There is no family fund to fall back on. No relative who can bridge this gap. Just two parents who refuse to give up on their daughter, and a little girl too young to know how hard they are fighting for her.
Alisha should be learning new words, chasing her brother around the house, falling asleep to bedtime stories. Instead, she is fighting just to get the chance to do all of that.

With your support, she can go home — not to more hospital visits, but to the childhood she deserves.

You need not wait for donor or have the organ ready. We actually suggest you start a fundraiser as soon as you can so that you are ready with the acquired funds and can get the surgery done immediately when you do receive an organ.
Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support. Impact Guru provides fundraising support in such cases by maximizing outreach, leveraging all fundraising channels. In order to provide crucial life saving support to such patients, Impact Guru charges marketing cost paid to such third parties and its regular platform and payment gateway fees. Impact Guru's constant endeavour is to reduce such outreach costs to maximize social impact of every contribution.
