When we imagined welcoming our baby into this world, we dreamed of tiny smiles, sleepless nights, and warm cuddles in our arms. We never imagined our newborn son would spend the first months of life inside a NICU, fighting to survive.
During the 34th week pregnancy scan, doctors noticed a “Double Bubble” sign, something commonly linked with serious conditions like Duodenal Atresia. Our hearts shattered in that moment. We prayed every day that our baby would be okay.
Soon after birth, our little one underwent surgery for Paraduodenal Hernia and Annular Pancreas. Watching such a tiny baby go through surgery was the most painful moment of our lives. Thankfully, the operation was successful… but the fight is far from over.
Even now, our baby cannot properly digest feeds. The gut is recovering very slowly, and doctors say extended NICU care for another 3–4 weeks is critical. Every passing day brings new medical bills, new fears, and sleepless nights.
