I still remember, a few years ago, I had dreams, ambitions, and plans for my future. I was the main earning member of my family, working hard to support my parents and build a better life. But everything changed within seconds….
I was diagnosed with a kidney disease called FSGS after years of tests, hospital visits, and failed treatments.
What started with something as simple as frothy urine slowly turned into endless medicines, painful procedures, and constant fear. Doctors tried every possible treatment, steroids, immunosuppressants, injections but nothing stopped the disease from progressing.
Today, my life revolves around dialysis twice every week.
With every session, I feel weaker. I am losing weight rapidly, my body feels exhausted all the time, and even simple daily activities have become difficult.
My father is retired, my mother works in a saree shop, and I still try to manage my treatment expenses despite being unable to live the life I once dreamed of. We have already spent lakhs trying to save my kidneys, travelling to different cities searching for answers but I still need lakhs more.
I still dream of recovering someday… of pursuing higher studies, working again, and giving my parents the life they deserve. I am fighting with everything I have left. But I cannot do this alone anymore.
