I still remember the day my son was born. Instead of joy, I was handed a fear I’ve lived with for 13 years. My son Harshvardhan was born with just 3 chambers in his heart instead of 4. “Congenital heart disease”, said his doctors.
While other children run, play, and dream freely, my son struggles just to breathe., I watch him fight for sleep, holding his chest in pain, gasping for air… and I feel helpless.
He is just 13. He should be in school, laughing with his friends. Instead, he lives in hospitals and silence. And yet… despite all this pain, my son still dreams.
One day, he looked at me and said, “Papa, I want to become a scientist.”
Doctors have now told us that my son urgently needs a two-stage heart surgery. The first stage cannot wait, it is critical to keep him alive. The second stage will follow after a year. Even after that, he will need lifelong medicines and regular check-ups.
I am just a daily wage laborer. I have sold everything I owned. Our home, our savings… even borrowed money with heavy interest. I have already spent more than ₹40 lakhs trying to save my son but he still needs lakhs more.
Today, I stand with empty hands… and a heart full of fear. Every breath he struggles to take reminds me that time is slipping away. My son needs your help and he needs it soon.
