Five days ago, my children were playing together. Today, both are lying unconscious in the same PICU.
It started with my 3-year-old son, Nitesh.
He developed a fever, and at first, we thought it was something mild that would pass. But his condition quickly became worse.
He started having fits and seizures, and we rushed him to the hospital.

On 18 August 2026, we learned that Nitesh had Acute Necrotising Encephalitis Syndrome, a rare and severe brain condition.
He received 3 IVIG injections and was shifted to Surya Hospital on 20 August.
But then, our nightmare became even worse.
Our 7-year-old daughter, Khushi, also developed a fever.
Within days, we learned that she had the same condition.
She received 4 IVIG injections and is now in the PICU in an unconscious state.

My wife says:
“Both children used to play together all the time, and then both of them had to be admitted to the ICU within just 5 days.”
Today, both my children are in the same ward, unconscious and fighting to recover.
Doctors have advised continued PICU care.
There is something that makes this situation even more terrifying for our family.
In 2018, we lost our 4-year-old son to the same condition.
I never imagined that years later, I would once again be sitting beside my children in a hospital, praying for their lives.

I have already experienced the pain of losing a child.
I cannot bear to lose Khushi and Nitesh too.
Our home is around 200 km from the hospital.
We are doing everything we can to stay beside our children and continue their treatment, but the longer they remain in the PICU, the harder it becomes for us financially.
I work as a daily-wage construction labourer and earn around ₹600 a day. My wife is a homemaker.
Khushi is only 7 and studies in Class 1. Nitesh is just 3.
They should be at home, playing together like they always did.
Instead, both are lying unconscious in the PICU.
I don't know what tomorrow will bring.
I only know that I cannot stop fighting while my children are still fighting to recover.
They need 10–15 days of continued PICU care, and I cannot manage the growing medical expenses on my daily wages alone.
I have already lost one child. Please help me keep Khushi and Nitesh by my side.
Your support can help us continue their critical treatment and give both my children a chance to come back home.

Dear Donors,
Nitesh is only 3 years old, while Khushi is 7 years old. Both children are battling Acute Necrotising Encephalitis Syndrome and are currently undergoing treatment and continuing with their prescribed medications under the guidance of their doctors.
At present, Nitesh's health is stable, while Khushi's condition is not good. The doctors are closely monitoring both children and providing the necessary medical care.
During this critical time, continued financial support is needed for their ongoing treatment and medical care. We sincerely request your help, support, and heartfelt prayers for Nitesh and Khushi's improvement, strength, and recovery.
Thank you for your generosity, kindness, continued support, and prayers.
