I still remember the moment my son was born. Instead of hearing a loud cry and holding him in my arms, I saw doctors rushing him to the NICU. My baby was born at just 27 weeks too early, weighing just 940 grams.

Within hours, doctors told us that his lungs were not fully developed, and he was struggling to breathe. He was immediately placed on a ventilator. Soon after, they diagnosed pneumonia, neonatal jaundice, and severe respiratory distress.

As a father, it breaks my heart to see my newborn son fighting such a big battle for life. He lies inside an incubator, surrounded by machines, tubes, and monitors

The doctors have told us that because he was born so early, he will need to stay in the NICU for several weeks until his organs develop properly. This means constant monitoring, ventilator support, medicines, and repeated medical tests.

I work as a Rapido bike driver and  when this emergency happened, our family gathered everything we could from borrowings to using up savings.

But the treatment is very expensive, and we have already spent around ₹2 lakh.

I just want to see my baby survive and grow up healthy. To watch him take his first steps and begin his life ahead..
