Every parent dreams of seeing their child grow up healthy, smiling, and full of life. For me, that dream has taken a pause.
My name is Chanchal Kumar Lau, and I’m the father of Kinjal, my beloved son, who has been bravely battling a life-threatening illness for the past few years. Today, his only chance at recovery is through a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT).
For the last three years, we’ve watched our son endure so much — painful hospital visits, endless tests, transfusions, and sleepless nights. We’ve already spent over ₹5 lakhs on his treatment, but now doctors say he urgently needs a bone marrow transplant costing around ₹35 lakhs. It’s heartbreaking because we’ve done everything we can, borrowed money, sold what we had, but it’s still not enough.
Every day, Kinjal looks at me with hopeful eyes and asks, “Papa, when will I be okay?” And every time, my heart breaks. He’s just a little boy who wants to play, laugh, and dream like other children — but his body is giving up, and time is running out.
Doctors have made it clear: the Bone Marrow Transplant is his last hope. The process involves chemotherapy, hospitalisation, medication, and post-transplant care — all of which are incredibly costly.
