“If you want happiness for an hour — take a nap. If you want happiness for a day — go fishing. If you want happiness for a year — inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime — help someone else.”
― Popular Proverb

Hasn’t each one of us has grown up believing that we could change the world? But how do we go about it? Where do we start?

The answer? You can start where you are. Yes, sometimes it is as easy as it sounds. Look around you, at the ambitious neighbour who is working at building his own start up or the wide eyed dreamer who wishes to study the course of her dreams. There are a million ways to help someone, these include:
Emotional Support: Being there for someone and actively listening to their challenges.
Being Perceptive: “Your hair looks great today.” “You’re glowing.” Noticing and more importantly, verbalizing positive changes or traits in people is a great way to make people feel better. Oh and it makes you a treat to be around!
Networking: Having connections is as good as having money. Tap into your network to connect people who can help or learn from each other.
Donate Your Time: Have a skill that you are proud of? Why not volunteer to offer your time - and skill-sets - to those who may benefit from it
Donate To Causes: Finding causes that you are passionate about and being in a position to give back, support and amplify said cause is actually a privilege. Take out the time to see what you want to invest financially in and set aside an amount each month that can help you enforce a mindful and consistent impact.

Giving With Impact on #ImpactGuru
One of the leading crowdfunding platforms in India, ImpactGuru started out with a mission to provide affordable and accessible healthcare solutions to everyone who needed it. The crowdfunding platform in India has helped raise funds for various causes like personal, social, medical and creative. It was made possible with the help of 30+ lakh generous donors that helped people overcome their financial crises.
Speaking of donors… why don’t you directly hear it from them…
“People are suffering with multiple problems, not everybody is able to fulfill their requirements. Neither everyone is fortunate to have everything. It doesn’t matter if you are donating thousands or hundreds. Just do your part. If around 20 Lakh people pay Rs 1 each, cumulatively it becomes Rs 20 Lakh. So that’s the power of doing your part.”

“My message is - donate as much as you can, as per your capacity to the person whose life is in danger... Because ultimately, it is we humans who have to come forward in order to protect our fellow human beings. Serving humanity is the best service and is akin to serving God, whose creation we all are...”

“Those who give to charity are also participating in a cause that is larger & more significant than themselves. For me, I have seen the following impact- Inner satisfaction, making lives better, improves leadership, helps you connect with noble people, setting trends, supporting your favorite cause, updates of progress & more. If a cause gives you these many benefits then why not!”

“Even when we are blessed with so much, we think several times before making a donation; but we rarely think twice before buying a fancy bag or dress or some other random thing that we don’t really need. Honestly, having another bag or another dress won’t make any difference in our life or lifestyle; but donating that money to someone who really needs it would really change their life.”
|
“If our small action can impact someone positively, I think donation is the best way to do so. At the cost of coffee at a café, one can bring a smile to someone’s face!”
|
“Selflessly donating and helping should be everyone’s top priority… What these kids are going through can happen to us also and we too would like someone to help us… just being grateful that it's not me in their position drives me to donate.” -ImpactGuru Donor |
“As not everyone is born with good wealth and health, it’s our responsibility to help people who are in need of help. I have done my part; it’s now up to you people to help.” -ImpactGuru Donor |
There is no such thing as a SMALL donation. I strongly encourage others to donate as much as they can.” -ImpactGuru Donor |
“It’s very important because I believe we all can make a difference in someone’s life, particularly those struggling financially with education, health, food etc. If we all can come together, we can make the world a better place to live with kindness and equality.” -ImpactGuru Donor |
“I am grateful for the life God has given me, grateful about the fact that I am capable of donating. Donating is a way for me to thank the Universe for giving me all that I have today and adding value to mankind.” -ImpactGuru Donor |
