Stand With Antara: Help Her Take the Next Step Against Cancer

My name is Abhijit Biswas, and I am reaching out with a humble request for financial support for my sister-in-law, Antara Dey, who is currently battling Colon Cancer.

Antara has been suffering from this disease for the past two months and urgently needs continued medical treatment.

Her journey has been especially difficult because she lost both of her parents tragically during her childhood. After that devastating incident, her maternal uncle stepped forward and raised her like his own daughter, providing her with love, care, and every possible support.

Today, our family is doing everything we can to help her fight this disease, but the financial burden has become extremely difficult for us to manage.

We have already spent approximately ₹2.5 lakh on her medical treatment, tests, hospitalisation, medicines, and related expenses. Unfortunately, her treatment is still ongoing, and we now need approximately ₹5,00,000 more to continue her treatment, including chemotherapy, Nivolumab injections, and necessary medical tests.

The expenses related to surgery, hospitalisation, and other eligible treatment costs are covered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. However, the cost of Nivolumab injections, chemotherapy, medical tests, medicines, and other expenses not covered under the scheme are creating a significant financial burden for our family.

We are therefore seeking your kind support to help us arrange the funds needed for her continued treatment.

Ongoing Treatment

Dr. Chandrani Mallik is the consultant overseeing Antara's ongoing treatment and follow-ups. After several tests and medical evaluations, the doctor recommended Nivolumab injections as part of her treatment plan.

She has been advised to take 4 doses of Nivolumab, after which her medical reports will be reviewed again to assess her response to the treatment. Depending on the results, the doctors will proceed with the final surgery.

The cost of this treatment is extremely high for our family.

Antara received her first dose of Nivolumab on 27 August 2026, which cost approximately ₹1.30 lakh for a single injection. Following the injection, she experienced shivering and a high fever and had to remain under medical observation in the hospital for two days. She was discharged today after the doctors found her condition stable.

She has now been advised to return to the hospital on 10 September 2026 for her second dose of Nivolumab.

We Need Your Help

Our immediate priority is to arrange the funds required for her second Nivolumab injection, while also preparing for the remaining doses, investigations, chemotherapy, surgery, and other treatment-related expenses.

We are trying our best as a family, but the cost of treatment is beyond what we can manage on our own.
