Not long ago, my sister Ravali was working hard to build the life she always dreamed of. After completing her B.Tech, she began her career in IT at Zepto in Bangalore, becoming independent and looking ahead to a future she was excited about. Then a disease changed everything…..
Ravali was diagnosed with Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease, and within months, her health took a devastating turn. By January 2026, her kidneys had deteriorated so severely that she had to begin regular haemodialysis. Her creatinine had risen dangerously high, and she was also battling severe anaemia.
Today, dialysis is no longer just part of her treatment, it has become a part of her everyday life. Even the treatment that keeps her going has brought its own complications. Her left AV fistula failed because of poor veins, and she now requires a tunnelled catheter for dialysis.
Ravali’s kidneys are now in the final stage of failure, leaving her dependent on dialysis just to keep going but a kidney transplant is her only chance to move beyond lifelong dialysis.

Our family has already spent around ₹4 lakh on her treatment. My father is retired, my mother is a homemaker, and my younger sister is still looking for stable work. Our father’s pension is barely enough for our household, leaving us struggling to manage Ravali’s growing medical expenses.
My sister dreams of returning to her IT career, getting her independence back and building the future she had started for herself. She wants to support our parents and help our family move forward. As her brother, I want to see Ravali back at work, pursuing her dreams, not spending her life in dialysis.
