Her family consists of a father who stitches garments for a living, a mother who takes care of the home. One day, Bhoomika was a college student with a dream. Next, she was a patient.

In the months that followed, Bhoomika went through five rounds of chemotherapy and several blood transfusions, her body repeatedly breaking down and being rebuilt, session after session. Each cycle brought exhaustion, nausea, and uncertainty. There were no surgeries, no shortcuts. Just the slow, brutal process of trying to outlast a disease that moves fast.

She is currently at home, resting between treatments. But resting is not the same as recovering, not yet. The doctors at HCG Hospital have made it clear: the only real path forward is a bone marrow transplant, a procedure where her damaged blood-producing cells are wiped out and replaced with healthy ones from a donor. Her father has stepped up to be that donor. A garment factory worker earning ₹15,000 a month, he is giving her the only thing money cannot buy, his bone marrow, his cells, his chance.

But the procedure itself costs far more than this family has ever seen. The transplant, the hospital stay, the medications that follow, it adds up to a number that feels impossible when you are calculating it against a monthly salary of fifteen thousand rupees. Bhoomika's mother, a homemaker, watches all of this from the edges, holding the household together with whatever is left.
Bhoomika is their only child. She is the whole dream, all of it, resting in one person.

She hasn't stopped thinking about code. About the career she was building. About the projects she wants to complete. That stubbornness, the quiet refusal to let go of what she loves, is perhaps the most human thing about her story. She is not just fighting to survive. She is fighting to go back.

Generally, most campaigners are reminded to leave updates on their fundraiser regarding the progress of their cause, whether it’s a nonprofit project or the health of a patient. You will get an email every time an update is posted. Alternately, you can use the "Contact campaigner" option on the fundraiser page to directly get in touch with the campaigner and understand how your donation benefited them.
Once the requirement of this patient will be met, any remaining funds will ultimately go towards helping other needy patients in line with Impact Guru's mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
For all medical fundraisers, the funds will be directly transferred to the hospital’s account. Only in a few cases, based on Impact Guru’s discretion, the funds might be transferred to the campaigner or the patient’s account for postoperative or at home expenses.
In cases, where the funding requirement of the patient changes due to factors such as death, change of treatment plan on advice of hospital, delay in treatment, medical complications, Impact Guru utilizes the funds to help similar patients with the mission of helping save as many lives as possible.
90%+ of Impact Guru’s campaigns raise funds leveraging our do-it-yourself fundraising platform.
The Accelerate initiative of Impact Guru caters primarily towards those individuals who are unable to create or manage their own fundraiser due to lack of education, access to smartphones, or social networks for fundraising support.
